COLORADO GOLD COUNTRY: VICTOR GOLD MINING DISTRICT
The famous Victor & Cripple Creek gold mining district is known as the World’s Greatest Gold Camp. A series of trails notably the Vindicator Valley and Battle Mountain wind through the mining districts Backcountry providing close up Views of the remnants of the 1890’s gold rush. My favorite of the historic sites were the Vindicator, Independence, Mollie Kathleen and Theresa Mines. This page includes photos of the various historic sites both during the day and at night with the milky way and stars.
